History:-  Mahesh Bhagwat is proprietor of this legal Concern. He is Advocate by Profession. He is in practice of Taxation  Consultancy since 1983. Since 1983 to 2007 he was in Taxation  practice as partner of three different firms. Since 2007 he has started his independent practice in VAT and PROFESSIONAL TAX, in Pune, Maharashtra State in  India.This is the proprietary concern handling the matters under MAHARASHTRA VALUE ADDED TAX ACT, 2002 , PROFESSIONAL TAX ACT etc. for all types of clients i.e. Traders, Manufacturers , works contractors, Promoters and Builders , Hospitals, I.T. Professionals , other Service providers, Charitable Institutions, Trusts, Government Bodies, Local Bodies and like others. We are handling the matters under these Acts right from registration to  appeals to Tribunals. We trust in educating the businessmen and  offering them a systematic service which will be useful to them for on g lasting business relationship.

    Advocate Mahesh P. Bhagwat has started his career as Tax Practitioner in 1983 i.e. immediately after passing his graduation in Commerce from B.M.C.C., Pune.  While practicing he has completed his graduation in Law from Symbiosis Society's Law College, Pune in 1987. He actively started his practice as Tax Lawyer  from 1987 as a partner of three  different Law firms till 2007. From the year 2007 independently started practice in indirect taxation  in the name and style as "BHAGWAT AND ASSOCIATES".

    Advocate  Mahesh P. Bhagwat is author of a book written in Marathi on the subject of Professional Tax. This books is especially written for laymen and common people. Title of the book is "VYAVSAYKARACHA KAYDA" (i.e. Law Of Profession Tax). He is CO-Author of two more books on the subject of Local Body Tax. Both books are written in Marathi Language for Laymen and common people and Tax payers. Title of Books are 1. Pudhacha Paul-Olakh LBT chi ( Step ahead – Introduction of LBT) and 2. L.B.T. chi Margadarshika (i.e. Guide to L.B.T.)

    Advocate Mahesh P. Bhagwat has delivered lectures on VAT, PROFESSIONAL TAX, WORKS CONTRACT TAX AND LOCAL BODY TAX  in seminars, beginners' courses for Tax Practitioners, conferences and public meetings. He was Paper writer in International Residential Refreshers' course of Western Maharashtra Tax Practitioners Association.  He was visiting faculty of National Institiute  of Tax Laws, Pune and other many institutions. He is visiting faculty of "YASHADA" ,Pune which is well known institute of Government of Maharashtra for Government Officers and  Executives . He has conducted training programs in "YASHADA" on the subjects of Personality Development like Effective Communication Skills, Leadership and Positive Attitude etc.
    He is Past President of THE WESTERN MAHARASHTRA TAX PRACTITIONERS ASSOCIATION, PUNE. He is member of State Indirect committee of 'MAHARATTA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE,INDUSTRIES AND AGRICULTURE.” He is founder president of "POONA EASTRN JUNIOR CHAMBER".  He is life member of SALES TAX PRACTITIONERS' ASSOCIATION OF MAHARAHSTRA & ALL INDIA FEDERATION OF TAX PRACTIONERS' ASSOCIATIONS. He has conducted the program of interviews of Traders and Consultants on All India Radio on the subject of VAT at the time of introduction  of VAT in the state of Maharashtra.
